Gildan is one of the largest, most trusted, apparel manufacturers on the planet, today. Gildan needed a new product locator app that allowed B2B users to view products and color swatches, view inventory and contact information from all distributors across their multiple brands.
Project Highlight
Swatch Finder
A unique element to the locator app is the Swatch Finder. Users simply open the app, tap the scanner icon and scan a swatch from their Style and Color Guides catalog. The app will then return color details of that swatch, product styles offered in that swatch color and similar swatches. This feature makes searching for inventory quick for users.
What I Enjoyed About This Project
Something new
Though the design I put together was heavily based on their current app, I have not designed an app before and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I feel that I had more freedom than I do when designing websites. I also enjoyed thinking through and putting together the flows for the swatch scanner.
